Chapter 3: Perjuangan Sesungguhnya.         

Setting:  Lima tahun kemudian. Sebuah kamar kost sempit 3x4 meter di Gang Kelinci, Dago, Bandung. Dinding penuh dengan poster rumus fisika, periodic table, dan foto-foto ilmuwan dunia. Suara hiruk pikuk pedagang kaki lima, motor, dan musik dari warung-warung bergema dari luar. Adi (24 tahun) sedang duduk di lantai dengan laptop tua, dikelilingi tumpukan buku bekas dan print-out paper ilmiah. Denny (25 tahun) datang membawa dua gelas kopi sachet dan roti tawar.

Denny: (masuk sambil menggelengkan kepala) "Di, abdi nembe balik ti kantor part-time. Capé pisan... tapi alhamdulillah dapat 300 ribu pikeun minggu ieu."

Adi: (tidak mengangkat mata dari layar laptop)  "Alhamdulillah, Den. Abdi tadina kuatir pikeun bayar kost bulan ieu. Beasiswa thesis abdi telat turun."

Denny: (duduk di kasur tipis sambil mengelus punggung yang pegal) "Di, naha hirup urang jadi susah kieu? Dulu nalika SMA, mimpi jadi ilmuwan dunia teh katingali gampang."

Adi: (akhirnya mengangkat kepala, wajahnya lelah tapi mata masih berbinar) "Den, tingali ieu. Abdi nembe rampung simulate molecular dynamics pikeun nanopartikel gold-chitosan complex pikeun targeted drug delivery."

Mantan Gubernur Ridwan Kamil ditengah nonton bareung : "Hari ini adalah hari bersejarah bagi Jawa Barat, Indonesia, dan seluruh umat manusia. Ibu Sari (Ibunda Adi): (dengan air mata kebahagiaan) "Saya tidak pernah menyangka anak saya yang dulu belajar dengan lampu minyak tanah akan berdiri di hadapan raja-raja dan ilmuwan terhebat dunia. Ini adalah bukti bahwa Tuhan tidak pernah mengabaikan doa seorang ibu."

Rektor Universitas Padjadjaran: "Kami akan mendirikan 'Adi Sunda Center for Quantum Innovation' sebagai tribute untuk alumnus terbaik kami. Pusat penelitian ini akan menjadi destinasi riset quantum physics terdepan di Asia Tenggara."

Menteri Riset dan Teknologi:  "Pemerintah Indonesia mengalokasikan dana khusus 10 triliun rupiah untuk mengembangkan ekosistem riset quantum technology di seluruh Indonesia. Kita akan menjadi hub inovasi global!".                                                                                                              Presiden RI  Anies Baswedan dan didampingi Wakilnya : " Kita bangga dan memberikan penghormatan kedatangannya di Istana Negara, IKN nanti ". 


Setting: Kembali ke Stockholm, malam hari di hotel suite Adi dan Denny

Denny: (memandang lampu-lampu Stockholm dari jendela hotel) "Di, masih nggak percaya ini semua nyata."

Adi: (duduk di sofa, masih mengenakan jas formal)  "Den, 22 taun nu katukang rasana siga mimpi. Ti mimpi di warung kopi Dago, ayeuna urang aya di Stockholm pikeun nampa Nobel Prize."

Denny:  "Tapi nu paling membanggakeun mah, bukan Nobel Prize na. Tapi dampak anu urang kasih ka jutaan jalma di sakuliah dunya."

Adi: "Enya, Den. Nalika urang ningali data, 500,000 cancer patients nu sehat deui, millions of people nu meunang aksés ka clean energy, ratusan ribu lapangan kerja anyar... éta téh real Nobel Prize urang."

 Denny: (duduk di sebelah Adi)  "Sareng ayeuna, urang jadi role model pikeun millions of young people ti developing countries. Tanggung jawab urang beurat pisan."

Adi:  "Tanggung jawab anu beautiful, Den. Urang kudu pastikan yén success urang téh jadi stepping stone pikeun jalma-jalma séjén, sanes final destination."

 Denny:  "Lajeng naon rencana saterusna?"

Adi: (dengan mata berbinar) "Mars colony project, Den. NASA jeung SpaceX parantos approach urang pikeun develop sustainable energy systems pikeun permanent Mars settlement. Bayangkeun - technology ti Bandung bakal power kahirupan manusa di planet séjén!"

Denny: (tertawa kagum) "Ti mimpi jadi ilmuwan dunia, ayeuna jadi architect pikeun interplanetary civilization!"

 Adi: "Sareng Den, urang kudu mulai ngarencana Nobel Prize kadua."

Denny: (shocked)  "Kadua?!"

Adi: "Enya. Kali ieu pikeun Peace Prize. Lamun technology urang bisa ngahasilkeun clean energy anu unlimited sareng affordable, urang bisa ngeureunkeun resource-based conflicts di sakuliah dunya."

Denny: (terpana)  "Subhanallah, Di. Vision anjeun téh truly beyond imagination."

Adi: (berdiri dan membuka jendela, menghirup udara dingin Stockholm)  "Den, inget henteu quote Albert Einstein anu jadi motivasi urang? 'Imagination is more important than knowledge.'"

Denny:  "Enya, quote éta nu ngarobah mindset urang ti limitation-focused jadi possibility-focused."

Adi: "Nah, ayeuna saatna urang inspire millions of young minds around the world pikeun expand aranjeunna punya imagination. Nobel Prize téh just the beginning ti journey urang pikeun elevate human civilization."

Denny: (mengulurkan tangan)  "Pikeun interplanetary dreams, pikeun world peace through science, pikeun legacy anu bakal remembered forever!"

Adi: (menjabat tangan dengan penuh determinasi) "Pikeun membuktikan yén ti manapun anjeun asalna, kalawan science, dedication, sareng collaborative spirit, anjeun bisa ngarobah universe!"

(Di luar jendela, aurora borealis mulai menari di langit Stockholm yang gelap. Seolah alam semesta turut merayakan pencapaian dua putra Sunda yang telah membuktikan bahwa mimpi terbesar bisa menjadi kenyataan terindah, dan bahwa sains sejati tidak mengenal batas geografis, ekonomi, atau budaya)
